    Quartz sealer for plasterboard

     

    FEATURES AND RANGE OF USE                                            

    FIXAFOND B 400 is a special sealer for porous substrates. FIXAFOND B 400 is based of vegetable resins in aqueous dispersion and quartz powders very thins and additives that favour penetration and consolidation of the base.    
    Thanks to its composition with particular quartz powders, FIXAFOND B 400 is particularly suitable to prepare plasterboard's undercoat. It is inodorous, not toxic, it isn't inflammable, friend of man and environment. 

    RULES FOR USE – PREPARATION OF BASE

    New plaster must be left to season for at least 4 to 6 weeks so that the surfaces are neutralised through natural carbonation. Also very new patches of plaster must be left to season.
    New wall surfaces: it isn't necessary any preparation.
    Wall surfaces that are already painted and partially deteriorated: remove every trace of paint that shows any signs of coming away or flaking, or any efflorescence; where there is evidence of mould, treat with IGIENIZZANTE.

    APPLICATION

    Dilute FIXAFOND B 400 with water in report of 1:1 and apply it with paintbrush or roller in one or more coats, according to the substrate's absorption. Apply FIXAFOND B 400 with temperatures between +5°C and +36°C, with a relative humid not superior of 80%. Let 6-8 hours dry (temperature = 20°C) depending on the substrate. Remember to clean all tools with water after use. Protect the treated surfaces from heavy rain for at least 48 hours.

    CONSUMPTION

    If the product is applied properly, in the case of on average absorbent substrates, consumption is approx. 0.2 l/m².

    CONTAINERS AND COLOURS

    FIXAFOND B 400 is supplied in 10 litre cans. The product must be kept in its original container within a temperature range between 5°C and 30°C.

    TOXICOLOGICAL DATA

    FIXAFOND B 400 does not contain harmful substances, pigments or other components based of heavy metals as lead or chromium. It does not contain also, toxic – aromatic – chlorinated solvents. Used according to the technical rules of use, the product is fireproof and it forms a substance not toxic and not dangerous.
